Writers Room
[solace in the city] We have a Writers Room in Portland. We provide solace and community for serious writers with a shared office and creative space. Our community includes: novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, graphic novelists, playwrights, screenwriters, memoirists, biographers, editors, bloggers, and more. Writers’ Dojo is a membership-based organization. Members join by paying simple monthly dues that help support Writers’ Dojo. Various memberships are available.
Literary Magazine We publish fiction, essays, poetry, interviews, reviews, blogs, resources, and much more. We are currently seeking interns and volunteers for reading, fact-checking, and proofreading. We also have an open call for submissions. WritersDojo.org welcomes unsolicited submissions year round for fiction, essays, and poetry. We publish daily. We're proud to publish many established writers alongside incredible new voices. The best way to see what might be accepted is to read WritersDojo.org. Please be sure to follow our submission guidelines.

If you currently pay in the neighborhood of $250 or $300 a month for ActivSpace or something similar, please connect. You’ll be amazed by our offer. Amenities include: up to 850 square feet of private office space, separate entrance, kitchen, private bathroom with shower, alarm security, storage, conference table and whiteboards, furniture if needed, WiFi network, garden, free parking. Writers' Circle We have a non-profit organization that provides free, kids writing classes. If you would like to learn more, get involved, or send your kids to The Writers’ Circle, please connect. Naturally, we welcome donations. Writers’ Circle has applied for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and is awaiting the official paperwork to offer tax-deductions for donations. 100 percent of the money you donate will directly support our free kids’ writing classes. We are dedicated to providing free and affordable writing classes, resources, workshops, events, publications, and literary offerings to our community, with primary focus on supporting kids who could not otherwise afford access to these educational opportunities. |
